Send kudos

A kudos is a short, specific thank-you tied to one of your company’s values.

  1. Choose Send kudos, or type /kudosky in Slack or kudos to the Teams bot.
  2. Pick a colleague.
  3. Pick a category. These are your company’s values, such as Teamwork or Great work.
  4. Write what they did and why it mattered. Specific beats generic. Your company may require a message.
  5. Send.

Changed your mind? You have a few seconds to undo right after sending.

Your colleague is notified, the kudos appears on the board, and you both earn points. By default the recipient gets 5 points and you get 1; your company can change this.

Turn on Send anonymously and the recipient won’t see your name or photo. You get a limited number of anonymous kudos per period, 1 by default. The form shows how many you have left. Admins can reveal an anonymous sender only for a serious safety reason; see Roles & privacy.

To keep kudos meaningful, your company sets limits. The defaults are:

Limit Default
Kudos per day 3
Kudos to the same person per day 1
Wait between two kudos 1 minute

Your company may also let you send kudos only within your team (plus admins). If you hit a limit, the app tells you.
